We aren’t getting…
Picnic tables, dog park, trees, grass, water fountain in summer, ski rink in winter, Farmers Market, Swap Meet, Meet ’n Greet, bicycles, tricycles, slides, swings, jungle gym etc.
We are getting a quarter million dollar (250,000.00) fenced, cement, pickleball and basketball court.
Aaaaand, a local contractor might donate equipment, time and labor!
Be sure and thank our mayor and council members for getting all of us a facility for the few.
Hmm, anyone know about the noise from pickleball courts? “After years of complaints, Mashpee instituted a ‘quiet ball’ rule on pickleball courts. The backlash has been noisy.”
Next…OUR Public Works employees will not be getting “walkie talkies” which would have greatly improved communications between our employees. A council member spoke of the poor employee use at their place of employment as the reason for a no vote. Talking all the time, forgetting where the radio was, left in a trench, etc.
Butt, golly gee, would the walkie talkies have improved OUR employees worksite? Did OUR public works supervisor and clerks mention how the “test” worked well for them? The ability to talk to all/any employee in the field and for all to be on the same channel was noted by OUR supervisor. Instead of using our CITY cell phones and calling each individually.

Next…The “budget”…another year of the false (fraudulent) claim that there is a Local Improvement District. “Lead Service Line” – L.I.D
One has not been formed or implemented. The money claimed is a loan the council took out we have to repay.The fact is the council took out two (2) loans, one last year (2025) for 700,000.00 dollars and one this year (2026) for 860,000.00 for a total debt of 1,560,000.00 dollars. We are in debt for One million, five hundred sixty thousand dollars.
